Zoo

The last month and a half has been constantly busy between travelling for spring break, hosting disciple now at our house, having Jake's 5th birthday, Easter, me going on a scrapbook retreat, Justin changing jobs, going on a family trip, celebrating Papa's 60th birthday, having family visit and baseball! So, now I'm going to try to relax and breathe a little and catch up on blogging, so here goes!!

Justin had a Saturday off from work, so we took a family fun day and headed to a local zoo. The boys liked it, but Jake was disappointed that there were no lions or t-rexes! We'll have to work on that for next time;)

Brotherly Love

The boys love, love, love to sleep together, but rarely do we let them because they don't go to sleep when they sleep together, and then we all pay for it the next day. Every now and then we give in and let them do it and this was one of those nights. When I went in to check on them before going to bed, this is what I found. They were both asleep and Josh was in one of his crazy sleeping positions with cell phone and toy in hand:) Ugh, the pix are in reverse order...sorry! The bottom pix is how we first found them and the second one is how we rearranged them! To be around each other so much, these little boys really do love each other!!

Worm

Disclaimer: I know I have had a lot of short, random posts lately (with no pix), so sorry if I am boring you:) But, these are memories that I want to write down somewhere so I can remember them one day when these boys are grown and gone!


Jake was playing outside today and came in with a worm that he had dissected into pieces. He was pretty distraught and told me that he had "accidentally" torn this worm into pieces and wanted to me get some tape, so we could fix him:) Unfortunately I was too busy at the time trying to explain why tape would not "fix" the worm to take a pix!!

Lemonade

Jake's prayer yesterday:
"God, thank you for this lemonade. Please help me to remember to ask Momma to make strawberry lemonade next time and if I cannot remember, then please help Joshy to remember to tell me to ask Momma to make strawberry lemonade. Amen."

Manners

I got a surprise when I picked up Joshy from school on Monday. He had gotten a prize that day for using good manners, responding yes ma'am to his teacher without any prompting. It is so good to know that all of the training at home does pay off. Joshy, we are proud of you for turning into a polite young boy! Way to go!!!

Dick

Tonight at dinner, we were talking about different stories in the Bible, and I was asking the boys who did this, what happened then, etc. I asked the boys, "Who walked on water?" and Jake quickly and confidently replied.....DICK!! Guess I better read up, I don't recall a Dick in the Bible;)
