TROUBLE!!

We headed to the pool with our friends Maddie & JD. The kids did great together and played together for a LONG time! Madeline is two months older than Jake and JD is two months younger than Josh. Fun times with old friends in the sun! Thanks Maddie & JD!

We tried to get them to all jump at the same time, but no luck!

Too much tv?!?

I'll admit that the boys have been watching a little more tv lately, because it is so freakin' hot outside they don't want to be outside during the day (unless we are at the pool) and I don't either. If you think that kids don't soak up what they watch on tv, here are a couple of examples...

We went to eat lunch with Justin the other day and I asked him if he wanted to go eat pizza or Subway. Jake said, "Let's go to Subway, eat fresh." Justin and I were both laughing. We sat by the door at Subway and Jake was greeting everyone who came in, "Welcome to Subway, eat fresh." Crazy kid!!

I took the boys to buy some new tennis shoes for school and Jake wanted Skechers brand. Not sure how he knows what Skechers are (I guess tv), but he wanted them. He didn't get them, but funny how is becoming aware of brands...

Cold Pillow

The other morning, I woke up, had not heard the boys yet, and walked into the living room. I saw Jake lying on the couch. Surprised, I walked over there and his eyes were open. The tv wasn't on, he wasn't playing, just lying on the couch very still and quiet. I asked if he was okay and what was wrong. His reply was, "My pillow wasn't cold anymore so I came in here." Not sure how long he had been there, but obviously the kid likes cold pillows like his Mama!!

Poor Jake got stung by about 8 wasps on his feet and legs last night - OUCH. He was a pretty big boy about it over all. Definitely one for the record books - 8 stings at once!!

Houston Trip

Once again, my pictures are in the wrong order - SORRY! We made a trip to Houston to see my best friend, Holly and her family. She has a little boy Ty, who is right between my kid's age, so they had so much fun together! Ty has an inflatable water slide that the boys had a blast on. Jake was standing on the top of the slide and fell of backwards about 7 feet or so. Luckily there was a step at the bottom to help break his fall! We went to Chuck E. Cheese one day, went swimming and took the boys to the Children's Museum. We had a blast, we just wish they lived about five hours closer! Thanks for a great trip Holly! We made a detour through College Station on the way home, mainly just to get the boys some new t-shirts. We didn't stay long, but we did take one picture.
