GRRRRRR

For some reason, it is very hard for us to stay healthy around here. We can't go for a month without someone getting sick. Once one boy gets sick, they pass it on to the other one about the time the first one is getting well. And, usually, Justin or I end up affected. So each sickness gets drawn out over a couple of weeks at least!

The boys got sick at Christmas and we had to change our Christmas/New Year's plans; and now we are supposed to have 25 people come over to watch the Super Bowl and we're an infirmary once again. Jake got a cold last week; Josh has been getting it this week, still has it and it has turned into an ear infection; and now Justin has it. Let's hope there is a miracle before tomorrow night and we don't have to cancel the party:)

Curious Jake

We've taken the DVD players out of the car and so Jake has lots of questions to ask (torture to me on Justin's part). On the way home from school the other day, this was the conversation...

Jake: Does God sleep in the sun?
Mom: No, I don't think so Jake.
Long pause....
Jake: Where's heaven?
Mom: Way up high above the clouds.
Long pause...
Jake: Does God have a bed in heaven?
Mom: I guess he could (I know God doesn't need to sleep, but maybe He likes to lie down and rest?!?)
Long pause...
Jake: When Josh and I get up there, can we sit on His bed?
Mom: God likes little kids. I bet He would let you sit on His bed.
Long pause...
Jake: When I get up there, do you think He will let me and Josh jump on His bed?
Mom: I don't know about that....
Long pause...
Jake: When I get to heaven, can I ask God why He made skunks and tell Him that I don't like them?
Mom: Sure Jake, you can ask Him that...
Long pause...
Jake: Mom, where do skunks live?

And so the story goes on and on and on. That little boy has such an inquisitive mind. You never know what he's going to say or do. He always keeps us on our toes, that's for sure!

Technology Blowout

Well, this is the week of technological advances around here. I succumbed to peer pressure and joined Facebook, Justin gave in and order Dish again (after several years of not having cable), and now I'm becoming a blogger. What is this world coming to? I've been thinking about doing this for a while, and I'm finally taking the time to do it. There's so many things that the boys say and do, that I never write down, and that I know I will forget in six months. So, this is my way of documenting those things. I've heard that you can print these out and save them, so that is my game plan. Hope you enjoy the crazy, comic life of the Quadruple J's!
